Breaking News: Students’ Boxing Event Highlights School’s Commitment to Sportsmanship and Values
On Thursday, July 3, 2025, our school community witnessed an extraordinary display of courage, discipline, and respect as students showcased their boxing skills in a specially rented boxing ring. This event was not just about competition; it was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering important life values through sports.
An Event to Remember
The boxing event was one of the highlights of our school’s sporty profile. Students from years 1 to 3 and 5 to 6 trained rigorously for six months under the guidance of dedicated coach Mr. Yavuz. Their hard work and dedication were evident as they bravely faced the audience, demonstrating their skills and progress.
The Spirit of Fair Play
The atmosphere was filled with respect and fair play. Older students engaged in impressive sparring matches, while younger ones showcased their training progress with great effort. The event was characterized by a motto that resonated through every moment: “Boxing begins with a punch – and ends with respect. Good boxers beat hard – but never unfairly.”

Boxing at our school is more than just a sport. It teaches students perseverance, self-control, responsibility, justice, and modesty—values that are essential for life. These values are lived both inside and outside the ring, with strict rules ensuring only those who participate in the classroom and adhere to school rules can join the boxing club.

A big thank you to our sports and organization team—Mr. Lensker, Mr. Horstmann, Ms. Elsholz, and Mr. Sahin—for the perfect organization. Ms. Abusulaiman’s dance groups and Ms. Grell added to the event’s excitement. Ms. Devecioglu and photographer Florian Ullbrich provided professional coverage, while security was ensured by our pediatric nurse and a doctor on site.
